The hostage crisis will end, the government and international community will condemn what happened, the media will feast and brag their coverage, the congress and senate will conduct investigation in aid of legislation, politicians will try to involve themselves in the issue, then another whitewash…In the end, lahat…tayo ay talo, lahat tayo ay biktima. ―Angel Juarez
I watched the replay of what happened, I kinda had no choice since all the TVs in the house had it to that channel. From what I saw, since I don’t understand Tagalog that much, those cops on the side of the bus just sat there for the majority of the standoff. I don’t want to criticize because I’m not an expert in what to do a hostage situation but I think it’s pretty obvious they didn’t do much.
I sat there for about an hour waiting for them to do something, my family had been watching for even longer. They tried to break the windows and I saw a few broken windows so I assumed they tried to break those too? They were using a damn sledgehammer to try to break it, come Philippine SWAT is that all you got?! And most of your guys couldn’t even break one damn window. I know easier said than done you’d think they’d have training for this-_- The gunman probably freaked out the first time he heard them trying to break in and that’s when he probably started shooting victims.
It’s really sad what happened and how it was dealt with. What’s probably more disappointing is Hong Kong trying to prevent travel to the Philippines after one incident. One act and they treat it like the country’s full of savages.
I don’t know I just had to say what was on my mind. I don’t know the full details so correct me if I’m wrong.
RIP.
POLICE MEN KNOWS HOW TO FOLLOW THE HOSTAGE RULE THEN PROBABLY THINGS WONT HAPPEN AS SERIOUS AS DEATH :(
